In 2013, 60 million girls partnered with Right To Play in the Oromia region of Ethiopia. The project engaged 2,500 children (1,500 girls) in play-based learning activities focused on positive, healthy behaviours. It also trained 50 teachers to facilitate these activities, and engaged communities around 2 schools on the importance of girls’ education and supportive practices.
This video about another Right To Play project in Liberia illustrates the power of play and sport in education… and hope.
