If we had to share one video about the importance of educating girls and women, this would be it.

Nobel Peace Prize winner Leymah Gbowee talks about the obstacles and issues that face young women in Africa and around the world, and the potential that lies within them.  She shares the story of her own life, and the incident that ignited her to begin to work towards peace.

Leymah Gbowee is a peace activist in Liberia. She led a women’s movement that was pivotal in ending the Second Liberian Civil War in 2003, and now speaks on behalf of women and girls around the world.

Make sure to watch to the end of the video.
