One of the projects 60 million Girls is funding this year is through Save the Children in Cote d’Ivoire. You can read more about this project here.
With the massive escalations in violence over the past several weeks, Save the Children estimates more than one million people living in the Ivory Coast have been forced to flee their homes, amid the heavy fighting over the presidential dispute. Save the Children now considers Cote d’Ivoire as a humanitarian crisis – one that is likely to get much worse – and are doing immense amounts of work to help with the safety, health and education of displaced children and families in Cote d’Ivoire.
