Please join us for our 14th annual fundraising conference

On Monday, November 11th, 60 million girls invites you to an evening with Wanda Bedard, our founder and president, as she leads you on a journey through Guatemala and Nicaragua.

The event will take place from 6 pm to 9 pm at the Bibliothèque et Archives nationales du Québec (BAnQ), 475 boul. De Maisonneuve Est, Montreal (see map). Cocktails and canapés will be served beforehand.

Tickets can be purchased for $100 each, online via PayPal (click below) or by downloading this form (payment by cheque). Tax receipts for $75 will be issued in February 2020.

The impact of your generosity and caring

Many indigenous children in rural Central America have little access to a quality education. They often lack school infrastructure, textbooks, and even trained teachers. Their communities don’t have Internet and some don’t even have cellular reception.

Though these children may complete their primary education, they often have no secondary school to go to. Instead of learning, girls get married early and boys must go to work. That’s how dreams come to an end.

We partnered with Change for Children to address this imbalance. To see the impact of the projects we supported in several remote indigenous communities, Wanda Bedard, Josiane Farand and Vida Fereydoonzad travelled to Guatemala and Nicaragua in late August.

On November 11th, we’ll share the perspectives of teachers and students in these communities and we’ll tell you how our Mobile Learning Lab has made a difference in their lives.

The schools we visited may have been hard to reach, but our rewards were plentiful. It was wonderful to see the impact of 60 million girls’ investment in quality education.

Your gift has helped children improve their learning through up-to-date, interactive digital content adapted to specific local needs in well-constructed safe school spaces – even in the most remote and difficult-to-reach communities.

See how your generosity has created a real impact.
On November 11th, join us to help promote transformative change for women and girls in developing countries throughout the world.
